Alipay and WeChat Pay: top up your balance via USDT from Russia
If you do not have a Chinese bank card, Alipay and WeChat Pay can be topped up through an intermediary. You send USDT, and we credit the required account balance in yuan.
How top-up through an intermediary works
Alipay and WeChat Pay are tied to Chinese bank cards. Without a card from Bank of China, ICBC, or a similar institution, a non-resident cannot top up a wallet directly. The intermediary accepts your USDT and transfers yuan to the specified account.
- Provide the recipient's phone number or QR code
- We lock the USDT/CNY rate at the time of your request
- Yuan is credited to the balance within 15-30 minutes
Minimum top-up amount
It makes economic sense to top up from 500 CNY (about 70 USDT). The conversion fee is 1.5-2% of the amount, so small top-ups under 200 CNY are not cost-effective — the fee absorbs the difference.
- Minimum top-up: 300 CNY
- Optimal amount: 1,000-5,000 CNY
- Maximum per transaction: 20,000 CNY
USDT to CNY to Alipay: step-by-step
- Submit a request with the CNY amount and recipient account
- Receive USDT transfer details (TRC-20 or ERC-20)
- Send USDT within 30 minutes — the rate is locked for this period
- After blockchain confirmation, yuan is credited to Alipay
Alipay limits for non-residents
Since 2023, Alipay has allowed foreigners to link international Visa and Mastercard cards, but the feature is limited: up to CNY 2,000 per day for retail payments and up to CNY 50,000 per year. This is sufficient for tourists but not for business use.
Alternatives: WeChat Pay, UnionPay
WeChat Pay works on a similar principle — foreigners can link a card, but limits are comparable to Alipay. UnionPay cards from Russian banks (Gazprombank, RNCB) provide direct access to China's payment infrastructure without an intermediary.
- WeChat Pay: CNY 2,000/day limit with a foreign card linked
- Gazprombank UnionPay: works at most terminals in China
- RNCB UnionPay: available for residents of Crimea and select regions
Alipay and WeChat Pay limits for foreigners change regularly. Check the current restrictions before sending a large amount.
